Morocco Welcomes 11.6 Million Tourists by End of July 2025

Morocco’s tourism sector continues to soar, with 11.6 million visitors recorded by the end of July 2025 - a 16% rise compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
The ministry’s statement highlights that this strong momentum shows no sign of slowing, with Moroccan expatriates making up 52% of total arrivals.
July alone brought in 2.7 million visitors, reflecting a 6% increase year-on-year. The growth was seen across both key segments - international travelers and Moroccan expatriates - underscoring the country’s enduring appeal.
Foreign tourist arrivals in July reached 875,000, up 2% from last year, while visits from Moroccan expatriates hit 1.8 million, representing a 7% jump.
Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor emphasized that Morocco remains both a beloved and inspiring destination for millions worldwide. She attributed this ongoing positive trend to the combined enthusiasm of domestic travelers, the Moroccan diaspora, and foreign visitors.
